Be Alright
Sibling-duo Evan and Eris team up on another Christian R’n’B banger. This time, they feature rapper Steven Malcom on the track “Be Alright”.
Producer Javigotsomemore creates a beautiful atmospheric sound with the instrumental arrangement, which delivers complex, yet accessible imagery for the listener.
The guitar interlude is accompanied by water-dropping, bird chirping sounds that introduce the song with a refreshing and relaxing vibe. He builds the finger snapping beat in the verses, which transitions into a crisp snare in the hook, giving the track a catchy, anthem vibe throughout.
Lyrically, vocally and melodically, brother and sister Evan and Eris ride on the rich instrumentation to amplify the track with their usual R’n’B excellence. Malcom’s flow takes the song to another level with his delivery. He literally gives his life to God on the track, saying “Take me, shape me, use me, I am Yours”.
There is such a refreshing balance between vocals and instruments, where neither overshadows the other. Rather, the balanced blend invites us into a full experience of the beauty of each talent within the overall mix of gifts.
This equilibrium allows us access the core message that; through Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross, “Blessings on Blessings” are coming our way and we will “Be alright”.
